Cummins Onan Marine Generators Announces Lloyds Type Approval
Cummins Onan, the leading marine generator set brand, announces that Lloyd's Register Type Approval for Cummins Onan Marine Generator Sets has been granted. The approval is for the Cummins Onan QD - Quiet Diesel - product line from 4 to 99 kW.
Lloyd's Register states that Cummins Onan Marine Generators have been successfully tested in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Lloyd's Register Type Approval System for Marine, offshore and industrial applications.
Cummins Onan has become the first marine generator manufacturer to achieve this level of quality approval for its entire QD diesel line. Even the 4/5 QD is capable of meeting the Lloyd's Register requirements.

Quiet Diesel™ Series Earn DNV Type Approval
Cummins Onan generators, the leaders in the marine generator set industry, have earned DNV Type Approval for the engine and alternator used on the 40 - 99 kW Quiet Diesel Series marine generator sets. Det Norske Vertas (DNV), an autonomous, independent risk management foundation, is known as a leading maritime classification society.
